Horoya AC is sweating over the fitness of club top marksman Ocansey Mandela as the team prepares for the weekend CAF Champions League clash against Generation Foot of Senegal on Friday 17 March in Dakar.
The Ghanaian forward is struggling with an ankle injury though head coach Victor Zvunka says he is not yet ruled out with a number of tests scheduled for the striker ahead of the game.
He is not the only concern at the team as the other forward Sékou Amadou Camara is also a concern with an ankle injury picked in the Saturday’s training.
Key midfielder Pope Amadou Toure is also under check after picking a knock in the knee during the first leg match in Conakry.
“Mandela and Camara have been rested as we continue monitoring their progress and will be further assessed in training ahead of the game. Another injury worry we have is on Toure who complained of pain in the knee.
“None among them is ruled out at the moment and I hope they will feel well in time for the Friday game,” he told Soka25east.
The Guinea champions carry a 2-1 advantage to the return match that will be held at the Stade Demba Diop.
