KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi is still hopeful his players can give him a good performance against St George and advance to the next stage of the CAF Champions League.
Mutebi is well aware of the task ahead and says his players have a responsibility to their fans and will not fail when they meet the Ethiopia champions on Saturday at Star Times Stadium in Kampala.
“We had to be very organised behind the ball since they (St George) made us think. It is going to be a difficult return leg since we didn’t score away from home,” stated Mutebi.
KCCA will be hoping to get a favourable result, that would see them advance to the group stages of the competition, having held to a goalless draw in the first leg in Addis Ababa last week.
The Kasasiro boys will pocket a $550,000 cash prize should they make it to the CAF Champions’ League group stages .
It will be their first time in history if they make past the Ethiopian opponent having been edged out in the last year’s edition at first round stage by then reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns who beat them 3-2 in aggregate.
