Tusker FC coach George “Best”Nsimbe is exuding confidence ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round,first leg match on Saturday against AS Port-Louis of Mauritius.
Nsimbe says that they have been training well for the match and that he has faith the day is theirs for the taking.
“I have very good players here. All of them know the roles they need to play, and we all know that this is a tricky matter because you have only two matches to prove yourself. We cannot afford any slip-ups.
“My plan is to ensure that we get a comfortable win here and then push for a draw in the return match. Importantly also, we must avoid conceding a goal at all costs,” Nsimbe said in an interview with Kenya Premier League portal.
Nsimbe will be having a arsenal of stars including Humphrey Mieno, Allan Wanga who are expected to lead the hunt of goals aganist the Islanders
However, he will miss dependable player Eugene Asike and new signings, Samuel Olwande, Abdul Hassan and Ugandan midfield maestro Moses Ndawula who were not registered to feature in the competition.
The match is scheduled for play at the Moi International Sports Centre,Kasarani kicking off at 1600hrs.
