Two goals in two minutes helped KCCA beat Namibia’s African Stars 2-0 in the Caf Champions League playoffs at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo on Friday.
It was a triumphal return for Mustafa Kizza, who limped off the pitch just minutes into the first leg in Windhoek. The left-back scored the opener in the 80th minute before captain Allan Okello doubled the lead two minutes later.
KCCA advance to the next round 4-3 on aggregate, having lost 3-2 two weeks ago.
Now Mike Mutebi’s men await to battle the winner between 15-time Angola league champions Pedro Luanda and Metlama of Comoros in the last qualifying round next month.
Meanwhile, KCCA have virtually no time to rest as they return to action against Vipers in the Super 8 final at Wankulukuku on Sunday.
