Asante Kotoko have been polled on arguably the toughest group in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup Group stage draw which took place at pits headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Monday, Jan 21.
The Porcupines Warriors in Group C which contains Al Hilal of Sudan, FC Nkana and Zesco United of Zambia.
Ghana’s sole representative reached this stage for the first time since 2008 by a 5-3 aggregate win over Coton Sports of Cameroon in the playoffs.
In other interesting match ups, Husa Agadir of Morocco will deal with AS Otoho of Congo, RS Berkane and Raja Casablanca of Morocco in Group A.
In Group B, Enugu Rangers of Nigeria will shrug it out with Burkina Faso’s Salitas, CS Sfaxien and Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.
NA Hussein Dey of Algeria will battle it out with Petro de Luanda of Angola, Gor Mania of Kenya and Zamalek of Egypt.
The group stage of CAF’s second-tier inter-club competition is expected to commence in February.
