The draw for the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup playoffs round was announced Wednesday night in Cairo, Egypt with potentially explosive fixtures on the cards.
The first leg matches are planned for 6,7and 8th April, 2018 with the return matches on 17 and 18th April, 2018.
All teams from the CAF Champions League round of 32 will start the first leg at home.
Supersport United, who are the 2017 runners-up will travel to Kenya to face Gor Mahia in the first leg encounter.
Gor failed to make the Champions League groups stage following a 1-0 aggregate loss to Esperance de Tunis and K’Ogalo will be hoping to atone for the bitter loss.
United on the other hand will be hoping to make for the last year’s disappointment but first they will have to go past Gor’s test.
Tanzania’s Yanga SC will battle against giant killers Wolaitta Dicha in an all East African duel.
Yanga were knocked out of the Champions League by Township Rollers of Botswana while debutants Dicha eliminated Egypt giants Zamalek from the Confederations Cup round of 32.
Another debutants Williamsville Athletic of Cote d’Ivoire will face fellow West Africans Desportivo Niefang of Equatorial Guinea while ASEC Mimosas also from Cote d’Ivoire will face Morocco’s Chabab Riadhi Belouizdad.
Zanaco FC of Zambia have a date with Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca while record Ethiopian champions St. George, who were kicked out of the Champions League by Uganda’s KCCA will face Club Aletique Renaissance of Congo.
