CAF have agreed a deal with the Egyptian government to keep the head organization of African football in Cairo for the next ten years.
The deal was signed on Wednesday with both CAF president Ahmad Ahmad and Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi signing the agreement as it is subject to renewal.
Sobhi revealed that this agreement is an alternative for the previous headquarters agreement that was concluded in 2007 between the two parties.
The 51-year-old also said the Egyptian government wants to support CAF and facilitate its mission to develop, promote, and improve African football.
In addition, Sobhi stated that since 2017, all Egyptian ministries have taken the necessary measures to conclude the new agreement with CAF.
