FUS Rabat coach Walid Regragui has said they “will play to stay alive” away to TP Mazembe today in the CAF Confederations Cup first leg at Stade MAzembe.

He will then look to finish the business at home in the return leg.

Wilid was talking during the pre-match presser yesterday after feeling the match venue.

“…but we too are difficult to beat at home. So we will play to stay alive and qualify in the return match,” he told Mazembe’s official website.

He added: “We will play our usual football. If TPM start strong, we will have to resist. In any case it is necessary to plan to be strong for 90 minutes.”

The second leg is tentatively scheduled for 20th October.

His equal opposite Pamphile Mihayo has urged his charges to approach the game with calmness saying playing for the Ravens naturally comes with pressure regardless of the opposition or competition.

“My advice to the players is to remain calm, to be patient even if we take time to score. It will be necessary to play well and not get annoyed,”

“When you play for Mazembe, you will always be under pressure. This is not new for us,” the former DR Congo international said.

The two sides will be clashing for the fourth time in the continent. In the last three, Mazembe have won twice and FUS Rabat once.

Mazembe are the cup’s defending champions and are gunning for a second gong on the trot.
