As Vita Club avenged their previous match defeat by St George with a resounding 2-1 victory in a another CAF Champions League match played in Kinshasa.
AS Vita were first to create clear chance at goal from Prince Waongo early minutes of first half free kick that was tipped over by Dady Birori for a corner that Muzungu couldnt keep down with his header .
The home team efforts were rewarded in the 12th minute when Dady Birori alias Etekiama opened the scoring when he fired past advancing Zerihun Tadele.
The early goal seemed to have dissorganized the horsemen and were unable to match their opponent in most of the departments.In the 27th minute they were penalised for their casual way of defending with Etekiema netting his second from a penalty.
St George forward Salahdin came close to a similar response from a Kassa lofted corner but the skipper header came off the bar under Lukong’s heavy challenge as St Grorge’s laid a counter attack that ended with Salhadin going agonizingly close after a brilliant team build up from their goal.
The left footed attacker joined Prince Wango guilty parties in a blunt St George attack in the final moments of the first half.Wango failing to double the lead from his preferred foot with only Lukong to beat.

As Vita then ensured they defended their win in numbers and finally they secured their first victory in the group that has Tunisian side Esperance and African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns who played to a goalless draw.
