Cameroon national football team have confirmed their arrival in Spain for a friendly match with Colombia.
Indomitable Lions arrived in Madrid late Sunday and had a 30 minutes walk along the streets of Madrid to farmiliarise with the weather, in the bid to get themselves ready for first training session.
According to the Cameroon federation the highly anticipated match will be played at Coliseum Alfonso Perez, home of Spanish side Getafe.
The friendly come fours days after the team’s 1-0 victory over Morocco in an 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Cameroon Today indicates that this encounter will be the fourth one that Colombia and Cameroon face each other.
During the first clash with Colombia at the FIFA World Cup 1990 in Italy, Cameroon won 2-1 within the round of 16 to get to Africa’s initial quarter finals.
At the FIFA Confederation Cup 2003 in France, both teams played in the semi-final wherein Cameroon won 1-0.
The African champions will be using tomorrow’s match as part of preparations for Confederations Cup where they will play aganist Germany,Chile and Austrialia as well as the clash aganist Nigeria in Uyo on Matchday 3 of the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
Super Eagles currently top the group with six points from two matches while Cameroon sit second with two points.
