Cameroon manager Clarence Seedorf has named the provisional 34 man Cameroon squad as they look to defend their AFCON title in Egypt.
The tournament’s second most successful team are looking to close the gap on Egypt even further this summer, and Seedorf has gone one step closer to naming the squad that he’s hoping will do it.

Two of the most notable absentees are Joel Matip and Nicolas Nkoulou. While both are undergoing excellent individual seasons at their respective clubs, they have been in long running disputes with the Cameroonian FA which sees them left out.
Cameroon start the tournament in a group with Guinea-Bissau, Ghana and Benin where they will be expected to progress with relative ease.
