Cameroon have lost 4-0 against Colombia in a friendly match ahead of Confederations Cup finals thanks to a brace from Yerry Mina,a goal each from James Rodriguez and second half subsitute Jose Heribreto Izquiredo.
Tuesday’s defeat in Getafe,Spain leaves question marks for the Indomitable Lions side five days before the tournament kicks off in Moscow.
Cameroon,who were missing several key players through injury including Ambroise Oyongo went into the game hoping to improve on their average performance against the Morocco on Saturday which they won 1-0.
The Indomitable Lions suffered a blow when Roberg Tambe was shown a straight red card three minutes into second half.
Rodriguez opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a powerful drive just inside Adree Onana’s right-hand post.
Mina netted a header just past the half an hour mark and converted the second in 51st minute connecting from Rodriquez corner.
Second half subsitute Radamel Falcao netted the third goal from a rebound after Cuadrado shot had hit the crossbar in the 61th minute of play.
Then came Izquerdo six minutes from fulltime with a close range shot from a combination set by Falcao.
Overall, the Cameroon failed to impose their neat passing game in their fourth match against the technical and physical Colombia.
Both sides had only a few half-chances in front of goal in a disappointing match that failed to light up the cold June night, with many final passes going astray in front of goal.
Colombia next play Venezuela and Brazil as Cameroon travel to face Nigeria in August in their bid to qualify for the next years World Cup finals in Russia.
