The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT through its Bureau of the Executive Committee has announced the indefinite suspension of all its competitions, in the wake of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday.
According to a press release signed by the president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Seidou Mbombo Njoya, the decision has been taken in line with the measures that have been put in place by the Cameroonian government in compliance with the recommendations of the World Organization for Health (WHO).
The decision affects friendly games, the professional league one and two championships, the women’s championship, the amateur league’s, the youths championships, Cameroon cup, Beach soccer and futsal across the country.
FECAFOOT settled on these changes hours after the Cameroon government announced a series of measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
They join a host of other African nations who have also moved to hault their football activities.
