Cameroon forward Clinton Njie has made a permanent move to French giants Olympique Marseille after spending last season there on loan from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs.
This was announced by the Spurs on their official website page on Monday stating that the Ligue one outfit have agreed to purchase the player.
“We have reached agreement with Marseille for the permanent transfer of Clinton Njie.
“The Cameroon international spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan with the Ligue 1 side, making 23 appearances and scoring four goals.
“Clinton joined us in August, 2015, from Lyon and made 14 appearances for the Club. We wish Clinton all the best for the future,” a statement read.
Njie made 23 appearances and scored four goals for the Ligue 1 team last term, having struggled to establish himself at Spurs especially after a serious knee injury in December 2015.
Njie was part of the Cameroon squad which won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon .
