Can Patson Daka replace Halaand at Salzburg?Zambian International striker Patson Daka struck a brace in Red Bull Salzburg’s 2-2 draw away at Austria Wien in a league match played on Sunday.
The Chipolopolo star scored as early as the 7th minute to give the visiting team a lead.
Wien equalised in the 67th minute, with Monschein getting the goal for the home team. But then Daka restored the lead in the 70th minute with his second strike.
Palmer-Brown save Wein’s blushes with a late equalizer.
Daka has now taken his tally to 16 goals in the League equal with the departed Erling Halaand who left Salzburg to join Dortmund.
Daka looks to be Salzburg’s main striker since the departure of the Norwegian and the Zambian would relish the challenge.
Despite scoring the two goals, Daka felt he could have done more to help the team pick up maximum points.
“My two goals were not enough. I would have liked to have used my chances better so that we would have gone home with three points today. I think that luck wasn’t on our side today either, ‘ He told the Clubs official Website.
