Caps United star Hardlife Zvirekwi scooped 2016 Soccer Star of the year accolade at the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League awards ceremony held in Harare on Friday night.

The Caps defender,who featured in every league for his club leading his team to the title, beat stiff competition from his teammate Leopard Tsipa and FC Platinum goalkeeper Pertros Muhari to win the crown.

The winners were voted by a panel that included football writers, team captains and coaches.
