The Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) on Tuesday dismissed an appeal challenging the election of Guinea Football Federation president Antonio Souare.
In the verdict delivered by Justice Pierre Sole,the court dismissed an appeal lodged by the former Guinea FA boss Salifou Camara alias Super V who wanted invaladation of the last elections that brought Antonio Souara as the head of the federation.
Souaré was elected in March last year at the end of an elective general assembly by an overwhelming majority of delegates by 62 votes to two for his rival Salifou Camara.
The verdict means that he will continue to be assisted by three vice-presidents, including Amadou Diaby, former football agent and Kerfalla Paterson Camara, new president of the Guinean Professional Football League and Thierno Abdoulaye Bah, the president of the amateur league.
