FT Kenya 1-1 Burundi
Kenya rallied from behind to force a 1-1 draw against Burundi in a Cecafa Senior Challenge group “B” match played on Wednesday 25 at Awassa Stadium – Ethiopia.
The single point keeps Kenya at the top of the group with five points same as Burundi as they enjoy a better goal difference.
Azam FC forward Amissi Tambwe gave the Burundians an early lead with a beautiful strike in the 11th minute as they took charge of the proceedings with Kenya fighting for an immediate response.
Harambee Stars took time to settle which they eventually did with their game starting to flow and in the 41st minute mercurial Michael Olunga equalized for the Bobby Williamson coached side.
The goal is Olunga’s second in the tournament.
