Timu ya taifa ya Sudan Kusini imepata ushindi muhimu katika mechi yake ya ufunguzi wa kundi C katika michuano inayoenendelea ya CECAFA inayoendelea nchini Ethiopia.
Sudan Kusini iliifunga Djibouti mabao 2 kwa 0.
Bao la kwanza la Bright Stars lilitiwa kimyani na mshambuliaji Bruno Martinez katika dakika ya 28 ya mchuano huo huku Dominic Abui akifunga la pili katika dakika ya 72 ya kipindi cha pili.
Baada ya ushindi huu, Sudan Kusini sasa itamenyana na jirani yake Sudan katika mchuano wa pili wa kundi hilo.
Mchuano huo unatarajiwa kuwa wenye ushindani mkubwa ikitiliwa maanani kuwa nchi hizo mbili kabla ya mwaka 2011 zilikuwa pamoja kama nchi moja.
Mchuano mwingine wa kundi C uliochezwa siku ya Jumatatu ni kati ya Malawi na Sudan.
Malawi ambao wamealikwa katika mashindano haya waliwalemea Sudan kwa kuwafunga mabao 2 kwa 1.
Mabao ya The Flames yalitiwa kimyani na Chiukepo Msowoya na Dalitso Sailesi katika kipindi cha kwanza cha mchuano huo.
Michuano hii itaendelea kesho Jumanne, Zanzibar watameyana na Uganda huku Rwanda wakimenyana na Tanzania bara.
