DAY 5, Wednesday 22nd July 2015.
A second loss for either KCCA or Adama City today could spell doom for a quarter final berth. The Mayor’s boys lost 1-0 to Chamazi side Azam in the opener while Ethiopia’s Adama City were shocked 2-1 by South Sudan’s Malakia.
KCCA Captain Mpiima Ssakka is however confident of his side making it to the last eight.
“We train everyday with one thing in mind, to win. We know that and we hold it dearly at the back of our minds. We will get through to the group stages.” He told the club’s official website.
Tanzania second representatives Azam FC tops this group (C) with six points from two wins, Malakia is second with three points; one more team from the group will join APR, Gor Mahia and Azam FC in the last eight.
Today’s match will be played at the Sheikh Abeid Karume Stadium from 4PM EAT.
