Maalim Busungu slotted in a 26th minute goal for the Tanzanian giants
before the stopover to second half.Yanga that half pitched the
Telecom for a momment lost better chances that appeared through
penalties.The first penalty occassioned through Niyonzinma in a foul
play and the second in a handball offences respectively went
wasted.
The first penalty was taken on wide off the mark while the
second one was blatantly deflected outside the goalposts.

The second half was however a fateful one for Yanga as Maalim went on
with a scoring spree to deliver a second goal at 66th minute of he
match.At 72nd minute super-sub Godfrey Mwashiuya sent a thunderbolt
that hit the woodwork before getting he net at last.And that was
fantastic enougj for Yanga that can now sart appealing for quarter
finals in subsequent matches after losing their opener match to
K’ogalo.
