Azam FC 1-0 KCCA, National Stadium
Money bags Azam labored to beat Uganda’s Kampala City Council Authority 1-0 to set a mouth watering final against Kenyan side Gor Mahia.
K’Ogalo as Gor Mahia is called earlier on thrashed Al Khartoum 3-1 to secure the first slot in the final to be played on Sunday August 2,2015.
The match between Azam and KCCA was fairly balanced with more play being done in the midfield and less in the danger zones. KCCA’s Isaac Sserunkuma missed the best chance of the game in the second half – with just the keeper Salum Manula to beat, he opted for a low shot instead of a chip over the advancing keeper, making it easy for his shot to be blocked.
Azam’s danger man John Bocco had a quite afternoon missing a couple of chances which could have changed the scoreline in their favor but he failed to utilize them.
Farid Mussa volleyed past keeper Emmanuel Opio in the 78th minute to send the ice cream makers into the final, without conceding a goal in open play.
KCCA will play Al Khartoum in the third playoff also on Sunday at the same stadium, the match curtain raises the big one, the final; Azam FC Vs Gor Mahia FC.
