South Sudan Football Association president Chabur Goc Alei has scoffed at claims of financial impropriation leveled against him by the Board of Directors.

He holds that if he is a “thief” then the rest of the 15-member board are no saints either, “If Chabur is a thief, then the 15-members of the Board of Directors of the South Sudan Football Association are also thieves, including the Secretary General (Mr. Anthony John) and the rest of the staff.

“What they have been talking about is the financial report of 2015, now we are in 2016, but back then Abraham Tito was the financial manager, so if I’m a thief then nobody would stay in America including him and the vice president who are citizens there.”

Chabur who had thrown in the towel following his suspension rubbished the move as “illegal” in a swift turn of events days after FIFA pointed out in a letter to the Board of Directors that the president was not given a hearing.
