The second edition of the Chad Premier League (LINAFOOT) new championship format will commence on Sunday 17 September head of organizing committee,Mr Mog-Nan Djimounta has confirmed.
There were fears that this season edition of national league would fail to kick off owing to failure of securing sponsors but LINAFOOT has been given cash by Chadian Football Federation (FTFA) and the tournament is set to commence next week.
The 18 Linafoot clubs from three zones will take part in the championship after they received new specific regulation and disciplinary code.
“The national championship is one of the activities that is close to the heart of the FTFA executive committee and remains its top priority in the development of elite football. The leaders of football, no longer obstruct, choke or prevent the determination and enthusiasm of the Chadian youth to play football for their selfish and individual, “said the president of LINAFOOT.
However, Mog-Nan Djimounta also informed that each club engaged in the national championship that in futute they must ensure its own funding and “not neccessliry wait for the financial support or even random support of LINAFOOT to avoid unjustified forfeitures of matches”.
