The Zambia U-20 men’s national football team is
set to regroup for a two-week residential training camp on Sunday, 30 October 2016.
Coach Beston Chambeshi has invited 25 players
to continue with preparations for the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations which will be held in Zambia from 26 February to 12 March 2017.
Zambia has been placed in Group A along with
Egypt, Guinea and Mali for the youth tournament which will also be used to qualify for the 2017 Fifa U-20 World Cup to be held in South Korea.
Zambia will also participate in the Cosafa U-20
Championship in December where they have
been placed in Group B with Zimbabwe and
Malawi.
The team is not short of surprises as a new Comer in Kenneth Malunga from Denmark gets a call up while MTN/FAZ Super League striker Patson daka who has already scored 11 goals misses from the list. Daka however has been called to the senior National team and might be the reason for the snub.
According to the programme released to
fazfootball.com by Team Manager Daniel Jere, the players and officials will be based at the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Technical Center in Lusaka.
