Ethiopian Premier League 2016 champions St. George FC have abandoned 13th title celebrations in hunt for more glory in the Ethiopia Cup.

Kidus Giorgis leave the capital Addis for Adama 100KM away to rub shoulders with Arbaminch in a rescheduled quarter-final match today (Saturday 2).

The fixture was slated for Addis Stadium but the surface has been rendered unplayable due to heavy rains in the country.

With the other semi-final slot between Ethiopia Defence and Ethiopia Commercial Bank already known, the winner today will play Adama City FC when the matches resume next week.

Ethiopia Cup winner will represent the country in the second rate continental club football, CAF Confederations Cup next season (2017).
