The Democratic Republic of Congo today held morning training seesions at the Amahoro training ground in Kigali.
The AS Vita Club dominated squad are preparing for tommorows epic duel against Guinea at the Amahoro National stadium.
Coach Florent Ibege took his charges through vigorous training session with victory in mind on all the players.
Ibenge said that he was worried of Nigeria threat but after the eagles got eliminated by Guinea in the group stages.
speaking to soka25east at the training ground today morning,the Leopards coach was optimistic of beating Guinea despite the worry of missing his top goal scorer Heritier Luvualu.
‘I am proud of my charges,we hope to reach the final and hopefully win the this tournament.We had a set back of losing Luvualu but I have others equal to task.Nigeria was a threat and that was my worry but now with Tunisia gone,we should just try and go past Guinea.They are fast but we will try to contain them’ Ibenge told Soka25east.
Also at the training under the watchful eye of coach Ibenge was TP Mazembe player Joel Kiwanaki and his fellow club mate Jonathan Bolingi told soka25east that he is confident of beating Guinea and reach the finals.
Congo DR face Guinea in the first semi final tomorrow at 4pm CET with the other semi final match scheduled for Wednesday pitting Mali against Ivory Coast at 4pm.
