Panom Gatosh’s late penalty forced a 1-1 scoreline against Niger in a build up tie staged in Addis, Ethiopia on Saturday 9.
Niger grabbed an early lead through Idrissa Halidou Garba from wonderful effort outside the box, stunning the host who appeared unsettled.
Proceedings thereafter favored no particular side, as both teams gave as much as they received. Yohannes Sahle’s charges were later rewarded a questionable penalty after Niger player was penalized for handling ball in the box – Coffee midfielder Panom Gatosh stepped up to the plate to convert, and he made no mistake, making an easy task with a cool finish in the 89th minute.
The match was part of preparations for both sides as we head into the CHAN 2016 week.
