Guinea Coach Mohammed Kanfory Bangoura has said that his defensive problem that almost cost them their match against Zambia has been rectified. He said they had let go their win against Zambia and are now focusing on tomorrows semi final clash against Congo DR
He was speaking at a press conference today in Amahoro flanked by his keeper Abdoul Aziz Keita whose heroics earned the Syli National a semi final berth.
He said that those who did not play the last match due to injuries are back and despite him missing one player, he is ready for the Congo duel tomorrow. Both Aboubacar Leo Camara and alseny Camara who missed the Zambia clash are back
Even if many of the players are from AS Kaloum we also have other players from other clubs, we play as a united team.
‘Tomorrow we will be more offensive than defensive as we search for early goals because this is like a final, we are going to play a technical game and we will use our strikers, everything is possible and its just determination in the field.’ the coach said.
He said the quarterfinal was not easy and that spirit they employed in the Zambia match is what they will do tomorrow, each much has its own lack but we are in the semi final, remember we will have the same pressure tomorrow and why not the final.
Guinea will look to reach the final in the first time they grace this tournament but they have to ease past Congo in a match scheduled for tommorow 4pm CET at the Amahoro Stadium.
