The second quarter final match of the ongoing CAF Nations Championship between west African giants Cameroon and Ivory Coast in Huye,Rubavu has ended goalless in the first half.
Ivory Coast were victims of missed opportunities with Djedje Franck Guiza and Jerman Junior Djobo of Sewe Sports and AS Tanda missing several goal scoring opportunities.
Ivory Coast could have taken an early lead in the third minute of the match but Frank Guiza’s hard shot was parried away by Nyame Hugo in the Cameroon goal.
From the third minute Ivory Coast dominated the proceedings here in Huye with minute after minute raid on the Cameroon goal.
Djedje Frank was at it again in the 26th minute failing to convert an open glorious chance from Yao Serge after a fine display from the Elephants.
Ivory coast got a free kick in the 40th minute after Yao Serge was felled but the resultant free kick by Yao Serge was short of expectation as his feeble pass was intercepted by Dragon Club Yaonde defender Nicolus Owono.
Cameroon came close three minutes later but Union Sportive striker Nlend Samuel’s shot went over bar.
