Indomitable Lions coach Rigobert Song has promised major changes in the team after Angola made him eat a humble pie on Saturday after a 1-0 loss in their second Group D match at the ongoing 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.
Cameroon hopes were ended after two matches which represents the first time the West African have fallen in the group stage of the tournament.
Speaking to the press at the last training session on yesterday in Tangier, Song despite being eliminated his charges are ready to face Burkina Faso and bow the competition with their heads high.
“It is true that we are eliminated but we remain in the competition. We have to come out with honor. This is the last game, the players are ready, they know that this is not the time to let go.
“They are convinced that we have to go home with something, it’s a game where we have nothing to lose. It is not necessary that there is an upheaval. We need to win against Burkina Faso, ”said Song.
He added that he cannot reveal the names of his starting line-up but stated that all the departments will be affected.
“We do not doubt other players who have not played yet but remain competitive. I have planned some changes, but the goal is not to upset everything. We lost matches but not by ridiculous scores.. Already Junior Awono is suspended, so there will be slight changes. “
