Benin beat Togo 8 -7 on post-match penalties to advance to the next round of the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
The two-legged second round qualifier ended 1-1 on aggregate forcing the tie to be decided via penalties at Stade de Lamitie in Togo on Sunday.
In normal time, midfielder Gazozo Kokou nearly scored a winner for Togo, putting superb 79th minute scissors kick across the bar.
And in the penalty shoot out it was Benin who kept their cool converting all their spot kicks.
However, Togo stepped up for the sudden death spot kick that was saved by Benin goalkeeper Steve Glodjion who went on to deny the Hawks.
Benin advance to face Nigeria in the third round of qualifiers in August.
