Senegal have asked the Confederation of African Football to postpone an African Nations Championship qualifier aganist Guinea, according to reports.
Senegal want the game, scheduled for August 12, to be put to August 19 because the local football governing body will be conducting elections on that day.
Senegal clubs also have not played league matches since last week as officials are busy campaigning and the federation feels their players will not have had the requisite preparation for the qualifier.
This was revealed by Guinean portal,ConakrySports.com ,indicating that SFF want the Africa Nations Champuoship fixture be played on 19th August to allow its assembly be conducted.
CAF has however not confirmed receiving request from the Senegal Football Federation though it is expected they will discuss it over the next few days once received.
It is a key game for both Senegal and Guinea as the winner of the two legged clash will qualify to the CHAN finals that will be held in Kenya early next year.
