Zambian midfield legend Charles Musonda is being considered for a role with the Zambia Under-20, FAZ General Secretary Ponga Liwewe has revealed. Musonda is a former mufurila wanderers player who also played for belgian side Anderlecht.

Liwewe said the Britain based Musonda, a hero of the 1988 Seoul Olympics, is keen to share his
experience with the country. Liwewe who featured on ZNBC’s Sunday Interview disclosed that Musonda was willing to have his three footballing sons play for Chipolopolo.

Charly Musonda jr who is on loan at Real Betis from Chelsea was earlier this year given a call up but had to turn it down. Musonda Jr is eligible to play for five nations including England and Belgium.

Musonda however said his sons would have to make their own independent decision on their international future. The lads are massively talented especially Charly Musonda Jr who won the EUFA Youth League with Chelsea Reserves in the season of 2014-2015, so they would inject some much needed creativity to the Chipolopolo set up, should they chose to play for Zambia.
