The Chipolopolo date the mambas of Mozambique in the second round, second leg Algeria 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier at National Heroes Stadium this afternoon (Saturday).

Zambia and Mozambique battled to barren draw in Maputo on Sunday and will have to conclude the duel this afternoon to see who qualifies to the final round.

Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic is looking to finishing of the mambas on home soil.

Skipper Benedict Chepeshi may be joined by Prosper Chiluya, Dominic Chanda, Allan Kapila. Others in the frame are Luka Banda, Shemmy Mayembe and Luka Chamanga. The middle of the pack may be left to either Kelvin Kapumbu, Saddam Phiri or Dickson Chapa while the creative has abundant options in Kelvin Kampamba, Patrick Gondwe, Albert Kangwanda and Joshua Mutale.

Upfront the 2022 MTN Super League top scorer Ricky Banda looks set to be the point man with the recalled Golden Mashata and Jimmy ‘Zobrigo’ Mukeya expected to play a part.

Zambia must be wary of the fast-paced Mozambicans whose threat is anchored on Nelson Dirvrassone, Gabriel Dove and Isac Carvalho.
Winner over two legs will qualify to the final round where the Flames of Malawi await. Malawi qualified to the final round owing to the ban on Zimbabwe by FIFA.
