The Chipolopolo of Zambia got down to business in Somone, Senegal with a training session at the Diambars Sports Academy.
Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic took the squad through the paces at the iconic facility that is associated with football stars of yester years like Patrick Viera, Bernard Lamar and Jimmy Adjovi-Boco.
The academy is a famed talent factory in Senegalese football and is located about 85 kilometres from Dakar.
Micho and his technical bench had an intense session as they prepare to face the Teranga Lions on Saturday in Thies in 19:00 hours kickoff (21:00 hours Central African time)
The 21-member Chipolopolo squad arrived in Dakar on Wednesday evening and is accommodated at the New Horizon Baobab Hotel in Somone.
Zambia will play three international friendly matches during the FIFA window with the second match in Cotonou against Benin on Tuesday before facing Sudan in the final friendly match on June 11.
Micho is using the games to fine tune his charges ahead of the September Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers that will see Zambia face Mauritania, Tunisia and Equatorial Guinea.
