Chippa United confirmed the signing of Daine Klate a product of Supersport United youth academy following his departure from Bidvest Wits on a three year deal.
Klate 33 became a free agent on June 30 after his contract with Bidvest Wits came to an end ,and it has now been confirmed that he has joined the Chilli Boys.
Chippa also signed former Klate teammate at Bidvest Wits Jabulani Shongwe who was on the books of Golden Arrows on loan
It was thought that Cape Town City were interested in landing the player ahead of the new season though they have beaten to his signature by a club that could well turn out to be title rivals in 2017/18 campaign.
