Nairobi City Stars have shifted their training base from the Impala Grounds on Ngong Road to the Hope Centre in Kawangware as they intensify their work- outs ahead of Sunday’s crunch league game against Kenya Commercial Bank.
City, under the they interim coach Dennis ‘Wise’ Okoth will tackle the Rishadi Shedu coached bankers at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani from 3.15 pm and in an interview with nairobicityfc.com, club boss Peter Jabuya explained the reason behind the change of venue.
‘The boys are back to Hope Centre. It is not a permanent change but temporary.’
‘At Impala we could only do four sessions a week which has been a challenge because we need to do as many sessions as possible as we have a crucial game at the weekend’
He went on: ‘We want to safe guard our status in the league and we cannot afford to take chances.’
The boys will head into the Sunday game in bullish mood following a routine in-house meeting involving the club management senior players on Friday.
