Border based Isebania FC stormed into the top ten of the NSL for the first time after a clinical 2-1 win over KPL hopeful KCB in an entertaining NSL match played at the Awendo Green Stadium
Going into the match ,the former KPL side paraded a strong line up against a determined Isebania with an aim of getting the crucial three points to keep pressure on Ushuru .Wazito and Vihiga both on 68 points with a game at hand could dislodge the bankers who are at 70 with victories.
Ushuru also failed to extend their lead at the top after going down 1-2 to former KPL side City Stars while Vihiga piled pressure on KCB and Ushuru after beating MOSCA 2-0
Isebania coach Dan Musta was an elated man after the victory on a strong side and promised the fans a better outing next match .He also thanked Castry Otuoma,the Administrator of Migori County Referal Hospital
The match played to a capacity crowd saw the two teams level at 1-1 at the breather.KCB were the first to score on the 3rd minute courtesy of a Simon Abuko penalty before the hosts levelled through Raymond Osodo in the 22 minute .
Isebania missed a host of chances and could have been 4-1 up at the half hour mark but KCB’s keeper was stubborn at the back .
And with just a minute left into injury time ,Felix Okik on a solo effort danced his way past KCB defenders and on a tight corner unleashed a thunderous shot that went straight into the left corner for the winner .
