Uganda:Club Vs Country Wars Continue as FUFA Controversially Withdraws Players’ Licences:

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has provisionally withdrawn licenses of four players from Vipers SC for allegedly contravening Article 37 (2) of the FUFA Regulations on Status and transfer of players for the 2015/2016 season when dully summoned for National team duty.

The four players together with other 3 had been summoned by the Uganda Cranes coach for the Cranes Namutima a campaign where the national team tours all the football regions of Uganda.

According to FUFA, the action by the players and or the club contravened the provisions of the FUFA Regulations on Status and transfer of players, article 37 (1).

The players whose licenses have been provisionally withdrawn are; Watenga Ismail Bin Abdul Rashid, Alitho James, Bukenya Deus and Kizito Keziron.

If it remains as it is, the quartet will be ineligible for the next two physically played FUFA Competitions matches of Vipers vs. KCCA and Sc Villa vs. Vipers.

Earlier on Monday Vipers SC sermoned Five Vipers players to appear before the club’s disciplinary body and answer charges of abscondment from club duties contrary to the club’s code of conduct.

Saddam Juma Ibrahim, Miya Farouk, Siraje Sentamu, Shafiq Bakaki and John Semazzi, are said to have appeared before their bosses for the hearing at the club offices in Zana.

Saddam Juma and Ssentamu Siraje were charged with participating in an unofficial match while still nursing injuries and under treatment although they had been advised to rest until the stipulated time when they were expected to return.

While the trio of Miya Farouk, John Semazzi and Shafiq Bakaki were charged with absconding from training without the consent of management ahead of a crucial Azam Uganda Premier League tie on Tuesday.

The Azam Uganda Premier League champions host KCCA FC on Tuesday in a top of the table clash and the Buikwe side had already named the four suspended players in their squad for the game tomorrow while omitting the other five whom the club accuse of abscondmen
