CNaPS Sports clinched the Telma Coupe de Madagascar Cup yesterday after beating Elgeco Plus 2-1 in a match played on Sunday 27 November at the Rabemananjara Stadium in Mahajanga.
Cnaps Sports started the day promising a kill and on the ninth minute, Armando fed Ando with a good pass from the right flank, which the latter sent marginally wide.
Elgeco settled into the match as the match approached the quarter-hour mark. On the 16th minute, Eddy Kely received the ball from keeper Bela before finding Dany Kely .Dany then sent Milhor upfront, who was dispossessed by Cnaps Armado as he made a run for goal.
Cnaps soon came out of their shell to have the first laugh in 19th minute, with Lucien Kassimo streching his neck for a header from Rija Rasoavinao free kick to send the ball into the back of the net.
Not content with the slim lead, one soon became two when youthful Laliana doubled the lead on the 23rd minute, who sent home an a thunder to send the ball past keeper Eddy Bastia.
In the second half Elgeco put up a spirited display with attacking football in a search of their first goal as Cnaps fought back to extend the lead.
Flavio was a constant menace on the wing as Elgeco pressed despite the windy conditions.
His efforts improved the matters a bit and in 75th minutes, Flavio was at it again, with a superb shot, following an assist by Samson to slot into an empty net.
Cnaps managed to defend this lead to the final whistle, to see the them retain the trophy that they won in last edition taking home cash reward amounting 3,000,000 Ariary and a trophy.
