Coach Andre Kassa Mbugo is expected to touch down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi at exactly 3:15 PM Tuesday from Rwanda to finalise talks with Bandari FC.

The former Police FC manager was among shortlisted candidates for the vacant job at the League Cup holders that fell vacant in May after the sacking of Sheikh Twahir Muhiddin for poor results.

Assistant to Muhiddin then Ken Odhiambo has been holding the position in an acting capacity. The Dockers have struggled to replicate their 2015 superb performance which saw them lift league cup, and a fourth finish in the league, their best ever placement.

Bandari is currently 11th with 23 points from 19 matches.

According to Jean Luc, a Rwandan journalist who spoke to Mbugo before departure, the much celebrated gaffer will stick in Nairobi and meet his agent till weekend when he will join the team on their way to Kisumu for a league match against Gor Mahia.

Bandari will be in action tomorrow at Mbaraki Stadium, Mombasa in Sportpesa Premier League mid week match against Sofapaka.

Mbugo completed his CAF A Coaching license on Friday last week. He won the 2015 Peace Cup with Jacques Tuyisenge, now at Gor Mahia as his Captain.
