A total of 19 players were named by AL Malakia head coach Ugandan Leo Adra to do duty for the South Sudanese league champions when they face Police Fc in the preliminary of the CAF Confederations cup on Saturday 13th February.
The team left Juba for Kigali yesterday where they are expected to have landed the same day and began light training and acclimatization with the cold environment considering the hot weather back in Juba.
According to Atlabara Secretary General William Baptist, the team is a really changed one compared to that one that shocked Ghanaian giants Bureau Chelsea 2-1 in a return leg match of the 2014 Champions League.
He said ththey have ripped in impressive Jacob Sule who was signed from arch rivals El Nasir FC to boost the squad ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary match against the Police of Rwanda.
This team wound up their final friendly match with a a 3-1 victory on Tuesday against Second Division side Gurai FC at the Simba playing ground.
Atlabara opted out of the CAF Champion’s league where they were to meet Zambian champions Zesco but they rescinded their decision after the South Sudan FA forwarded their names to the Confederation cup after they won the domestic league.
