Comoros side Ndzuani are mourning the death of their young player Idrisse Gatuzo who passed on after a motorcycle accident on the evening of Saturday 2 July.

The young Comoros international met his demise while travelling home, as confirmed by Comoros Football Federation.

“Idrisse was on his way home  after ending the team training before he had the accident.”

“He was moved to hospital in bad condition before he passed away few hours after his arrival at the hospital,”reads the statement.

Idrisse was one of talented youngsters who graduated from the Twamaya Academy in Mitsamiouli.He was one of best players in the Ndzuani league.

He received his first call-up to the national team in December 2013 and featured in the Coelacanthes U-20 team during the COSAFA Cup U-20 tournament that was held in Lesotho in the same year.

Idrisse then graduated and received a call to senior team.His first match was the second leg of the CHAN 2016 qualifiers aganist Zimbabwe on 4th July 2015 in Moroni.
