Leon Goretzka scored twice in the first eight minutes to help Germany book a place in Confederations Cup finals after a comfortable 4-1 over Mexico on Thursday night.
It took Goretzka only six minutes to open the score line after he slotted home Timo Werner’s through ball past the defense.
Two minutes later,Goretzka again capitalized on poor defending to double the lead from a Dratxler cross.
Wermer then extended the lead when he sent a brilliant pass inside the net from a Jonas Hector pass.
Marco Fabian who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany grabbed a consolation for the Central American side,before Amin Younes added a forth for Germany.
Mexico’s best first half move was in the 27 minute when Hernandez forced Germany keeper Ter Stegen to make a decent save.
The Mexican had a better second period but their efforts came too late to threaten a comeback,although there was chaotic ending with several chances in both ends.
With 20 minutes to the end, Mexico won a free kick that was taken by Herero but it went out the field of play.
The next chance fell to Henrichs from another great Germany move but keeper Ochoa again managed to stand his way.
With better finishing Mexico could have revilatised the game in the final five minutes.Substitute Jeminez nealrly scored a second for Mexico but his header went wide.
Germany will now face Chile in the final on Sunday at Saint Petersburg Stadium.
