Under fire Gor Mahia Coach Frank Nuttall has quit the club in a huff and is set to join Egyptian giants Zamalek SC as an assistant coach.
The Scotsman left Nairobi for Egypt this morning to complete the deal.
Nuttall’s position at the helm of the Kenyan champions grew uncertain each passing day, with reports of rebellion in the changing room. His relationship with Gor’s management had also gone out of hand.
Gor Chairman Ambrose Rachier today openly questioned his fielding after losing “Mashemeji Derby” on Sunday 6, going down 1-0 against rivals AFC Leopards. All these signalled his end days at the side he guided to the third league title unbeaten in 2015.
At Zamalek, he will join his former boss at Rangers FC (Scotland), McLeish who is the head Coach.
This move is believed to have been brokered by former Harambee Stars Coach Bobby Williamson who brought Nuttall to Gor Mahia and also recommended McLeish to Zamalek.
