Mashemeji Derby, Gor Mahia vs AFC Leopards first leg match will go on this Sunday 6 at Kasarani as was earlier scheduled.
This was confirmed to Soka25east.com by the Kenyan Premier League CEO Jack Oguda this morning.
“Yes the match is on. The stakeholders have agreed that the match will take place as was earlier planned.” Jack Oguda said.
The fate of the biggest league match in Kenya hanged in the balance over security concerns. On the same day, another high profile sporting event, First Lady Marathon will be taking place in the Capital Nairobi, this raised concerns that Kenya’s security men would have been over stretched.
