Muhoroni Youth FC have confirmed appointment Richard Tamale Pinto as their new head coach with immediate effect, the club has announced.

Tamale, recently worked as head coach of Nairobi City Stars where he parted way with the team after it was relegated to Nationwide League.

Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala said in an interview with Kenya Premier League portal: “We are happy to have brought Tamale in. We believe he is the right person to take us to the next level. We have also brought back Omondi so that he can help Tamale to settle at the club as soon as possible.

“I am particularly happy that we have resolved the differences we had with Omondi because this is where his heart is. This is his home. I also want to thank Tom Juma and Bobby Ogolola for the exemplary work they did here.

“Those two gave us our first major trophy, and their output will forever remain significant to this club. We wish them all the best in their next endeavors,” he said.

Pinto,who once coached Artland Katare FC in Uganda, has been signed by sugar-belt based side on a two-year contract.

The new mentor will be assisted by his former club’s coach James ‘Odijo’ Omondi.

The two are expected to have a good working relationship with the team and Odijo’s experience of working with young players will stand the club in good stead as they continue they fight for top positions in the next SportPesa Premier League season.
