Yusuf Manji has resigned as the chairman of giant Tanzanan club Yanga .
According to Tanzanian newspaper Daily news ,the Business mogul has resigned from his position barely two months after his landslide victory on 25tj June 2016.
Apart from the resignation,Manji has also halted his quest for buying stakes at the jangwani club for ten years as he stated earlier.
The chairman was reported to be out of the country and neither him nor his vice chairman Deusdedit Baraka could be reached for comment.
However soka25east can confirm that one of the committee members confirmed the developments stating he actually resined .
Its is believed that his resignation could be due to political influence from outside sources on his quest to own the club for ten years having a 75% ownership shareholding in the club
In another twist of events veteran Yanga committe member Mzee Akilimani is under pressure to resign or be forced out of the clubs NEC after what the branch officials termed acting against the club’s constitution and causing divisions amongst members
Addressing a press today ,the officials said Mzee Akilimani’s actions the last three days has contributed to the resignation of Manji
