Congolese Football Association (Fecofa) has suspended its general secretary, Inyangi Bokinda, after the country was thrown out of the under-23 African Cup of Nations by CAF last week.
Morocco, who had lost to Congo, successfully appealed over the ineligibility of Congo defender Arsene Zola with CAF ruling that Zola was above the age limit.
Morocco will now face Mali in June’s final round of qualifiers for this year’s finals in Egypt.
Bokinda has been blamed for a so-called “administrative error” and has been replaced by two Deputy Secretaries General who together will take charge of competitions and administration, reforms and development.
